I'm a Full Stack Web Developer specializing in front end frameworks and UX design. I bring years of leadership and project management expertise from the non-profit realm. I've gone from launching a charter school to launching full stack web applications. I'm an entrepreneur at heart who loves building things that make people’s lives better. I love a good challenge. My favorite problems are the ones that are big enough to require an amazing team to solve them.
I received my Full Stack Development Certification, through the Coding Bootcamp at the University of Texas in Austin. Personally, I love working on frontend frameworks because I love seeing the immediate change on screen. I love working with React and other frontend libraries, but it's hard to beat Vanilla JavaScript. I care deeply about attention to detail, especially when it comes to user experience and design. I'm committed to making pages user friendly, mobile responsive, and fast loading. I also enjoy using databases like mySQL and MongoDB with tools like Node.js to create purposeful API’s. The back end infrastructure is essential to any full stack application's functionality, efficiency, and purpose, which is why I love helping the back end communicate well with the front end.
At the end of the day, while I'm passionate about developing great code, I will always be passionate about developing great people. For the last eight years, I have managed teams of people to solve complex problems together. Leadership starts with humility and service.
